The Fab 5 -- Clothes that should live in every woman's
closet
Five essential but versatile pieces should be in your
closet:
The Little Black Dress. Dress it up or down -- play to any
occasion by adding accessories or layered pieces to a
sleeveless sheath.
The Cardigan. Choose cashmere or lightweight merino wool.
Use it in lieu of a blazer at work, or as a layering piece
with jeans and a t-shirt.
White Button-Front Shirt. Good construction and fit are
key. Pick a quality fabric that has darts or princess
seams (stretch is desirable, too). The buttons should
never gap or bulge.
Jeans. Denim can effortlessly move from office to evening.
Jeans that make the transition best are dark wash, with
few details. Keep the fun and funky jeans for casual wear.
(Oh, and you can never have too many jeans!)
Black Suit. Look for a fabric that will move through the
seasons -- then punch it up with a colored blouse and great
accessories. Trousers and a jacket are good to start with,
but try a suit system (including the skirt and dress) if
your budget allows.

selective about what you bring in for us to look at! As

labels, in exceptional condition, and floor-ready. If you
